I'm often asked "would it be to my benefit to open an eBay store". My answer always is, it all depends on your motives on eBay. Here's a few questions to ask yourself.
1. Are you planning on working your eBay business for more then 10 hours per week?
2. Do you see yourself working your eBay business in the next 6 months?
3. Are you going to be selling at least a dozen different items?
4. Are you familar with the basics of eBay as far as buying & selling?
5. Do you have a postive feedback score of at least 10?
If, you have answered "yes" to all five questions. My suggestion would be to open a basic store and give yourself a good 6 months to see if eBay stores is good fit for you. To learn more about eBay store fees and how to get started go here http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/storefees.html .
